The Gordon Murray Group is far more than a supercar manufacturer – it’s a symbol of what British automotive excellence can achieve. From record-breaking Formula One designs to genre-defining road cars, every project reflects a passion for purity, performance, and precision.
A Legacy of British Engineering Excellence
The Gordon Murray Group stands as a beacon of British innovation, engineering brilliance, and design purity in the global automotive world. Headquartered in Surrey, England, this prestigious group comprises Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA) and Gordon Murray Advanced Engineering (GMAe). Both entities share a singular mission: to push the boundaries of lightweight performance, engineering art, and driver-focused automotive design.
Founded by the legendary Professor Gordon Murray CBE, the group has redefined the concept of what a supercar can be – not just in performance, but in purity, practicality, and emotion. With an ethos rooted in motorsport heritage and a commitment to "Driving Perfection", the Gordon Murray Group represents the very best of British car manufacturing today.

Gordon Murray Automotive: Building the World’s Greatest Driving Cars
Established in 2017, Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA) is a UK-based luxury car manufacturer focused on creating ultra-exclusive supercars for true driving enthusiasts. Every car is a statement of engineering passion and precision. The model lineup includes:
T.50 – The spiritual successor to the McLaren F1.
T.50s – A track-only variant built for ultimate circuit performance.
T.33 – A timeless coupe with 1960s-inspired design.
T.33 Spider – An open-top celebration of analogue driving purity.
Each of these cars is designed, engineered, and hand-built in Britain, with customer production taking place at the company’s cutting-edge £50 million Highams Park headquarters and Vehicle Production Centre in Surrey.

Seven Brand Principles That Define GMA
Gordon Murray Automotive’s philosophy is governed by seven uncompromising principles that influence every aspect of its design and manufacturing:
Driving Perfection
Lightweight
Engineering Art
Premium Brand
A Return to Beauty
Exclusivity
The Customer Journey
These values ensure that each car is not only visually stunning but also mechanically pure, with a focus on connection between car and driver that no other manufacturer can match.

The T.50 Supercar: Rewriting the Rulebook
Unveiled in 2020 and priced at £2.36 million, the GMA T.50 instantly became a modern icon. Limited to just 100 units, the T.50 sold out within 48 hours of launch, attracting global acclaim from collectors and automotive purists alike.

What makes the T.50 so special?
Weight: At just 997kg, it's the world’s lightest supercar, a full third lighter than typical rivals.
Packaging: Its three-seat layout (driver in the centre) includes 288 litres of luggage space – unheard of in the supercar segment.
V12 Engine: The bespoke 3.9-litre Cosworth GMA V12 revs to 12,100 rpm with a throttle response of 28,400 revs per second – the fastest ever.
Aerodynamics: Featuring a 400mm rear-mounted fan, it employs active aerodynamics via ground-effect technology, eliminating the need for oversized wings or vents.
In 2024, the T.50 was recognised with a King’s Award for Enterprise, acknowledging its unmatched engineering innovations.

From Formula One to Supercars: The Story of Professor Gordon Murray
The man behind the brand, Professor Gordon Murray, boasts an extraordinary 60-year career in motorsport and car design. From 1969 to 1990, he was Technical Director for Brabham and McLaren Formula One teams, contributing to five World Championship wins and 50 Grand Prix victories.
In the 1990s, Murray revolutionised the automotive world with the McLaren F1, widely regarded as the greatest road car of all time. Its race version even won Le Mans in 1995. His vision and passion continue today through the Gordon Murray Group.
In recognition of his contributions to British motorsport and innovation, Murray was awarded a CBE in 2019.

Gordon Murray Advanced Engineering: Innovation at the Core
Alongside GMA, Gordon Murray Advanced Engineering (GMAe) plays a critical role in driving the group's innovations forward. Specialising in lightweight construction, advanced materials, and sustainable design practices, GMAe provides engineering solutions for both the Group and external clients, including future mobility projects.

Looking Ahead: T.50s, T.33 Coupe & T.33 Spider
After completing T.50 production in 2025, GMA will begin delivery of the T.50s – a track-only marvel aimed at delivering the most engaging circuit experience ever. Next in line are the T.33 Coupe and T.33 Spider, both celebrating the beauty and simplicity of 1960s sports cars – but with a 21st-century soul and performance.
The T.33 Spider, for example, promises a truly immersive open-air driving experience, powered by the same roaring Cosworth GMA V12 and crafted with an obsessive attention to detail.

A Truly British Automotive Vision
The Gordon Murray Group is far more than a supercar manufacturer – it’s a symbol of what British automotive excellence can achieve. From record-breaking Formula One designs to genre-defining road cars, every project reflects a passion for purity, performance, and precision.
